Confectioner baker

Hands made of flour and the smell of freshly baked buns. Can't decide whether you prefer sweet or savoury? With us you don't have to choose, we'll teach you both! You'll get to know the different ingredients and processes, learn how to bake crusty bread, savoury and sweet cakes and other pastries. You'll also be able to create delicious cakes, pastries and desserts that will make your mouth water.

You will learn different techniques of decorating confectionery products - you can make icings, fondants, marzipan and delicious creams.

You will not only get an internship at the school, but also at various establishments in the surrounding area. For example, in a chocolate factory or an artisan bakery.

With an apprenticeship, the door is open to a wide range of jobs, whether you choose to work in a bakery or a patisserie. You can also easily combine the two.

You can already start taking orders for cakes and pastries during your studies. You can earn a nice income.

Get your A-levels

You can finish your matriculation at a post-secondary school - there is always something new to discover in this field.

What kind of applications will you have?

Bread and pastries are staple foods that will be eaten all the time, you really don't have to worry about work. It's up to you which direction you take. You can make cakes and pastries in pastry shops, bake crusty bread in your own artisan bakery or open your own shop where you combine all your skills.
